Cetasol iHelm

iHelm gives operators and fleet managers a clear picture of what is happening across their vessels, in real time and over time. It connects to the vessel’s engine, GPS, and sensors, builds a digital model of how each vessel actually operates, and uses that to surface recommendations that crews can act on immediately.

    • Fuel savings
      iHelm shows captains whether they’re burning more fuel than they need to, and tells them what to do about it. Speed recommendations, fuel gauge, and real-time feedback help operators cut fuel use by 8-15% without sacrificing schedule.
    • Performance insights
      Fleet managers get a full view of how each vessel is performing: fuel per nautical mile, speed distribution, engine load, and more. Easy to spot which vessels are running well and which ones aren’t.
    • Reporting and compliance
      EU MRV, IMO DCS, CII, EU ETS. iHelm handles the reporting automatically. No manual spreadsheets, no guesswork.
    • Engine uptime
      iHelm tracks engine signals continuously, flagging unusual patterns before they turn into breakdowns. Early warnings reduce unplanned downtime and give technical teams something concrete to act on.
    • Digital twin
      iHelm builds a digital model of each vessel using real operational data: engine signals, GPS, voyage history. That model updates every day, so recommendations are based on how the vessel actually behaves, not how it was designed to behave. It also makes it possible to compare different speed or route scenarios before committing to them.

The Speed Gauge shows captains their current speed, the recommended speed range for the current conditions, and exactly how much fuel they would save or lose by adjusting. The Fuel Gauge shows real-time consumption against the expected range for the operation, so crews can see at a glance if something is off. Both gauges sit on the Captain’s Display, mounted on the bridge. The cloud dashboard also includes configurable cards for Fuel Now, CO2 Emissions Now, and CO2 Emissions per Leg.

iHelm intelligent maritime fleet support

The iHelm system consists of three main components:

Cetasol Main Unit (CMU) Cetasol Main Unit (CMU) – A compact PC that installs on board and connects to the engine, GPS, and other sensors. It has a built-in SIM card and up to 128 GB of storage, and keeps running even if the vessel loses internet for several weeks.

Captain’s Display – Mounted on the bridge, the Captain’s Display gives the crew a live view of speed, fuel consumption, and voyage progress. It includes the Speed Gauge andFuel Gauge, and lets captains set destinations and target times, all in one clean interface.

iHelm Cloud Dashboard – Everything collected by the CMU flows into the cloud dashboard, where operators and managers can review fleet performance, compare vessels, and run compliance reports.
