Cetasol is launching a Ferry Program in Q4 2025. The program invites ferry operators to use iHelm for fuel management while providing feedback on features and development specifically tailored for ferries.
The development of these features is guided by data science and AI, with the goal of creating functionality that addresses industry-specific operational needs.
iHelm provides support for individual vessels and entire fleets, including fuel management, performance tracking, compliance, and uptime optimization, using real-time decision support and data-driven insights.
Captains receive recommendations in real time on the helm display for fuel efficiency and emissions management. All operational data is transmitted to a cloud-based dashboard, allowing vessel owners and land-based personnel to monitor fleet performance and individual vessel operations.
The Ferry program possibilities
During the program, operators will install iHelm onboard their vessels. Cetasol will develop ferry-specific features, and participating ferry owners will be invited to provide insights and feedback to guide the development of features relevant to operational needs. At the end of the program, operators will have the option to purchase the system at a discounted price, with no binding contracts or obligations.
The final system, including ferry-specific features, will serve as a comprehensive operational optimization tool. With iHelm installed onboard and data collected from the vessel, a digital twin model will be created and updated daily. This model will integrate propulsion signals, trim, draft, passenger and vehicle load, weather, tides, currents, wind, and speed-through-water data to support operational decision-making.
