Easytrak USBL SystemsOur family of compact Ultra Short Baseline (USBL) systems provides effective and efficient tracking of multiple simultaneous underwater assets such as divers, ROVs, AUVs and towfish. Featuring built-in pitch, roll and heading sensors to compensate for vessel movement, the Easytrak line offers options to suit a variety of range and accuracy requirements.

Positioning Beacons

Acoustic positioning for shallow and deep-water operations

Subsea Positioning BeaconsOur acoustic positioning beacons provide highly stable signals and are designed to be compatible with almost all industry-standard tracking systems. Optimized to provide a balance between power, battery life and physical characteristics, the beacons allow users to easily select transmit and receive frequencies, and most models in the range can operate as a transponder, responder or pinger. Options are available for shallow-water, deep-water and seabed applications.

Release Beacons

Acoustic release beacons for equipment deployment & recovery

Acoustic release beaconsOur acoustic release beacons are ideal for deploying and recovering subsea equipment such as seabed instrumentation and environmental sensors, and can also be used as recoverable reference markers for positioning systems such as our Easytrak USBL range. The beacons utilize an FSK (frequency-shift keying) acoustic command protocol to ensure optimal performance in high-noise or reverberant conditions, and also feature positive drive-off mechanisms for reliable mechanical release in high bio-fouling environments.

Geophysical Survey Systems

Seafloor surveying tools and accessories

Sub-Bottom Profiling systemsapplied acoustics’ geophysical survey systems use seismic energy sources and hydrophones to create a 2D picture of the geology beneath the seabed, with options to suit a variety of environments including coastal or deep waters and soft sediment or harder rock. Combining industry-leading safety standards with cutting-edge engineering, the systems are based around a modular architecture that enables greater portability and more versatile configuration capabilities.

The HydraSeis multi-channel seismic streamer is designed for digital multi-channel Ultra-High Resolution (UHR) seismic data acquisition, complementing applied acoustics’ UHR sound sources to enhance data quality.

Applied Acoustics HydraSeis Multi-Channel Geophysical Survey System

The system features in-water 16 kHz 24-bit ADC modules for low-noise, wide-bandwidth performance, and a 100 MBps network link for continuous high-resolution recording with integrated navigation data. Its modular architecture supports both 2D and 3D acquisition at fast shot intervals across a range of marine geophysical survey applications.
