OceanPack™ RACK

The OceanPack™ RACK is a marine monitoring system with a classic FerryBox design in a 19″ rack format, designed for automatic operation and measurement of various water parameters. Up to 30 oceanographic sensors or other devices can be connected simultaneously via serial, including pCO2, SST, SSS and algae sensors, as well as nutrient analyzers, water samplers, weather stations and GPS receivers.

OceanPack™ CUBE

The OceanPack™ CUBE is a more compact and lightweight measurement and monitoring system with a standard 19″ form factor, designed specially for scientific and environmental observation vessels. It features an integrated 7″ touchscreen for easy and user-friendly control, as well as NetDI-based data logging. The system can also be equipped with an optional automatic cleaning mechanism.

OceanPack™ RACE

The OceanPack™ RACE is a water monitoring system that has been specially optimized for racing vessels, and has been successfully deployed during major events such as the Volvo Ocean Race. The low-power unit features a lightweight carbon frame and a removable display and control panel, and includes a pCO2 analyzer and a thermosalinograph as standard.

Data can be transmitted in real-time via the vessel’s on-board system, or with an optional satellite or RF transmitter. pCO2 data can be optionally referenced with standard gases, allowing qualified data to be recorded in the SOCAT database.

OceanPack™ BUOY

The OceanPack™ BUOY is a compact pCO2 analyzer designed for small shallow-water buoys and marine monitoring platforms, featuring built-in sensors from LI-COR with auto-calibration. Easy to setup and maintain, it can be left unattended for several months. The system can be equipped with a data logger, allowing other sensors such as CTD, dissolved oxygen, pH, gas and nutrient analyzers to be installed. Both raw and calibrated data are saved and can be transmitted in real-time.

Li-Ion PowerLogger™

The PowerLogger™ combines subsea data loggers with our advanced Li-ion technology battery technology, providing a complete self-contained and self-powered longterm autonomous measuring system that can be connected to a variety of sensors. The data logger is compatible with NetDI, MicroDI and SmartDI technologies, and features built-in power management. Available capacities range from 1.7 kWh or more down to a miniature 90 Wh solution that can be transported without restrictions.

Subsea NetDI® Logger

The Subsea NetDI® Logger is a versatile data logger with an optional Li-Ion battery and titanium housing options that can withstand operation down to 6000m, allowing the unit to be installed in deep-sea vehicles and platforms. With a low power consumption and a configurable output rate, the Subsea NetDI® Logger is ideal for long underwater deployments, and can be connected to up to 30 serial devices with an optional expansion bus.

ROV & AUV Frames

We can create custom frames for AUVs, ROVs and subsea vehicles that combine our NetDI data logger with your choice of sensors, providing an all-in-one data collection solution for scientific research, environmental monitoring, offshore oil and gas and a variety of other use cases. The frames can be easily integrated with vehicle power and communication systems, and our OceanView DataServer software can be used for further processing, real-time display and alarm setting.

Greenhouse Gas Monitoring

OceanXpert-Lab water quality monitoring systemWe have developed a specialist range of air and water quality monitoring systems that can be used to measure the presence of greenhouse gases. Options include:

  • OceanXpert-Sea – precision subsea pCO2 or CH4 analyzer (IR or laser)
  • OceanXpert-Lab – precision flow-through pCO2 and/or CH4 analyzer (IR or laser)
  • OceanXpert-Air – precision independent IR Air-CO2 analyzer

Marine Sampling Systems

Microplastic Sampler

The compact Microplastics Sampler is ideal for both large and small vessels, providing the ability to detect minute concentrations of different microplastics down to a few particles per m³, with instantaneous size separation. The system features high-efficiency ocean sampling even at high vessel speeds and during harsh sea states, and has been successfully proven during the Volvo Ocean Race.

Rechargeable Li-ion battery solutions for underwater & deep-sea applications

Standard Batteries

Our standard rechargeable Li-ion batteries for marine and offshore deployments can be charged in situ and are encased in titanium pressure housings for operation down to 6000m. In addition to COTS options, we also offer custom batteries with options to adjust the capacity, current, voltage, size and housing.

High-Performance Subsea Batteries

Our high-performance subsea Li-Ion rechargeable batteries are designed to power critical subsea electronics systems and can handle deployments of up to 25 years. They can be charged underwater and feature multiple independent system monitors and an optional redundant design that provides at least 50% capacity at all times.

Subsea Vehicle Batteries

Our smart batteries for subsea vehicles are assembled from SmartPowerBlocks (SPB), each with its own protection and monitoring system, allowing a wide range of configurations and simplifying servicing requirements. An optional CIM (Customer Interface Module) allows batteries to be interconnected with other components such as embedded chargers, power distribution units (PDU), and additional batteries.

We can build subsea battery solutions for a wide range of requirements, including custom form factors and housings, with outputs of up to 400V, 140A (peak) and 25 kW. The bespoke batteries feature integrated control electronics and can be charged underwater.

PowerChargers

Our family of PowerCharger solutions for underwater batteries features integrated battery management systems for enhanced safety and fast charging, with smart balancing algorithms and built-in diagnostics.

With the ability to charge one battery, multiple battery channels or multiple battery modules, PowerChargers provide simple one-button charging and discharging as well as a 7″ color touchscreen for detailed system information.
