Manufacturing in Germany, the company has been developing its marine monitoring systems for both subsea and surface vessels — and its power solutions for subsea vehicles — for more than three decades.

Over that time, the company has made huge strides in the industry. In the last year alone, SubCtech has integrated and tested their OceanPack RACE and Microplastic Sampler products into French skipper’s IMOCA yacht, and contributed its cutting edge color analysis to Arved Fuchs’ sea data and water quality expedition, among other achievements.

For the Fuchs expedition, the company provided one of its OceanPack line of innovative surface ocean monitoring systems, which sample and analyze the water using pCO2, SST, SSS, and algae sensors, among others.

This line consists of RACK, designed for automation operation, CUBE, designed to be smaller and lighter, and RACE, designed specially for racing vessels and proven in major events.

One exception to the OceanPack line is BUOY, designed as an easy-to-install, compact ocean monitoring system to be used under the water, rather than on the surface. However, this is not SubCtech’s only subsea ocean monitoring system, with the line also featuring the durable and long lasting Li-Ion PowerLogger and Subsea NetDI Logger, as well as custom frames for ROVs and AUVs for an all-in-one data logger solution.

The company’s other products include microplastic samplers, plankton samplers, and greenhouse gas monitoring systems, but SubCtech’s innovations extend into the realm of subsea and offshore power solutions.

The standard rechargeable Li-Ion batteries can be charged in-situ and are designed for operation up to 6000m deep, while the company’s high-performance subsea batteries are durable enough to handle deployments up to 25 years, and the subsea vehicle batteries come with an option customer interface module for interconnectivity.

Also producing customized batteries and PowerCharger solutions, SubCtech’s developments are as varied as they are numerous.
