1. AGISTAR Launches Portable USV for Diverse Aquatic Operations

AGISTAR has unveiled its latest innovation in unmanned maritime technology: the BX-USV II, a highly adaptable and easily deployable unmanned surface vessel (USV).
Engineered with a focus on modularity and portability, the BX-USV II empowers researchers and industry professionals to conduct environmental monitoring, hydrographic surveying, and critical infrastructure inspections with greater efficiency and ease.
2. Impact Subsea ISS360HD Outperforms in Sonar Comparison Study
Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) have compared leading sonar technologies for Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) obstacle avoidance. The study revealed Impact Subsea’s ISS360HD as the top performer in challenging underwater conditions, with superior resolution, range, and reliability across critical performance metrics.
Led by Andrew Motz, Nathan McGuire, and Jeff Kaeli, the research evaluated sonar performance based on key metrics including signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), target strength, noise levels, sensor saturation, and intensity. The clear standout was the ISS360HD, which delivered significantly better results across all categories—particularly in terms of SNR, a crucial factor for long-range and low-visibility detection.
3. Reducing Risk in Explosive Ordnance Disposal Operations with ROVs

In close collaboration with Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) experts, Oceanbotics has developed the SRV-8X, a purpose-built Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) engineered to reduce the level of risk to both human and marine life during mine disposal missions.
From disarming naval mines to neutralizing underwater IEDs, EOD missions demand precision, courage, and effective tools. As the seabed remains littered with unexploded ordnance (UXO) from past and current conflicts, these threats pose serious risks to maritime operations, commercial ventures, and marine ecosystems.
4. Hefring Marine to Integrate IMAS with GuardianAI for Autonomous Vessel Operations

Hefring Marine is partnering with Marine AI to enhance autonomous maritime operations by integrating Hefring Marine’s Intelligent Marine Assistance System (IMAS) with Marine AI’s GuardianAI autonomy suite.
Hefring Marine’s IMAS will complement GuardianAI’s existing capabilities by providing real-time insights into sea conditions, optimizing vessel operations, and improving safety. The collaboration will ensure that IMAS is fully compatible with the GuardianAI marine autonomy stack, with future plans to offer IMAS as an OEM-supported module within the GuardianAI suite.
5. New Hybrid USV to Integrate Autopilot Tech for Rim Driven Thrusters

HydroSurv will utilise Dynautics’ autopilot technology in its latest hybrid-electric Uncrewed Surface Vehicle (USV), the REAV-47.
HydroSurv’s growing fleet of electric and hybrid USVs are engineered to meet evolving hydrographic, geophysical and oceanographic survey demands in nearshore and offshore environments. The REAV-47 features up to 90 hours of operational endurance and introduces rim-driven thruster propulsion, provided by Rim Drive Technology (RDT) of the Netherlands.
