Miniature fiber optic gyroscope manufacturer MostaTech will showcase its newest lineup of rugged inertial sensing solutions at the upcoming Eurosatory 2026 exhibition in Paris, France.
The company will highlight a selection of durable single-axis fiber optic gyroscopes designed to maintain high accuracy despite extreme mechanical stress. Among the featured technologies are the VG2103S and VG1703, which are compact sensors capable of enduring shocks up to 3000g and vibrations up to 30g RMS. These devices also feature extended-temperature variants that operate reliably across a temperature range from -60°C to +125°C. The VG2103S model provides low-noise performance with an angular random walk of 0.03°/√h, while the ultra-compact VG1703 achieves a higher precision angular random walk of 0.008°/√h and offers an optional magnetic shield for environments with strong magnetic interference.
MostaTech will also display the VG910 series, including the rugged VG910H1, which offers 1200g shock resistance, 30g vibration endurance, and an angular random walk of 0.015°/√h. In addition to single-axis options, the manufacturer will present low size, weight, and power three-axis fiber optic gyroscopes designed for precise multi-axis motion sensing. This lineup includes the VG221, the world’s smallest fiber optic gyro, measuring 33 mm in diameter by 12 mm in height, weighing 25 grams, and consuming 0.3 watts of power.
Drawing on more than 35 years of field-proven fiber optic technology, these size, weight, power, and cost-optimized non-ITAR solutions are engineered for short-term navigation and stabilization. Typical applications for these systems include inertial navigation systems for unmanned aerial vehicles, unmanned underwater vehicles, unmanned surface vehicles, and remotely operated vehicles, alongside gimbal and platform stabilization systems requiring reliable performance in dynamic conditions.
