The DMU41 IMU (inertial measurement unit) is a nine-degree-of-freedom and tactical-grade yet ITAR-free motion sensing solution that provides cutting-edge capabilities and a cost-effective MEMS alternative to larger FOG-based systems. The high-precision sensor incorporates three inductive and three piezoelectric resonating ring gyroscopes, six capacitive accelerometers and three magnetometers.
Delivering angular rate and linear acceleration data with exceptional ARW, bias and noise characteristics, the DMU41 can output at up to 2 kHz over serial RS-422/485, SPI and CAN. Featuring an IP67-rated robust aluminium housing, it is ideal for a wide range of marine and offshore platforms including survey vessels, submersibles and AUVs/ROVs.
