The WatchKeeper™ MetOcean Buoy is a rugged and fully solar-powered environmental monitoring platform that can be rapidly deployed in a variety of oceanic environments. It is available in 1.7m and 2.6m diameter options, and can be provided with inverse catenary, chain, semi-taut, or false bottom moorings.
The versatile buoy can be equipped with a wide variety of sensors, including wind speed and direction, barometric pressure, wave height, GPS, CTD and more. A number of telemetry options are available, including Inmarsat or Iridium SATCOM, GPRS/HSPA, CDMA/EVDO, and UHF/VHF radio.
TRIAXYS™ Wave and Current Buoy
Class-leading wave and current profiling data collection platform
The TRIAXYS™ is the only 1-meter buoy of its kind, collecting high-precision real-time wave and current profiling data and featuring an unparalleled set of features. The highly reliable and field-proven solution incorporates a solid state nine degree-of-freedom motion sensor, an ADCP and a renewable solar power supply, and can be equipped with VHF/UHF radio, IsatData Pro, or 4G/LTE cellular telemetry systems.
The rugged buoy has been constructed with impact-resistant polycarbonate, fiberglass and foam, and a stainless steel hull, and is capable of withstanding harsh ocean conditions. Capable of extended deployments, it requires no annual calibration.
Port Sentinel™ Automated Weather Station
Customizable environmental monitoring system for ports & harbors
The Port Sentinel™ is a fully-automated environmental monitoring station designed specifically for deployment in port and harbor environments. Ideal for enhancing the safety and effectiveness of marine traffic management and operational planning, it can be equipped with a wide choice of sensors to provide real-time reporting of meteorological data, current speed and direction, water levels and more.
The self-contained system is housed in an IP67-rated NEMA 4X enclosure, and is controlled by the proven WatchMan500 module, which continuously monitors all sensors and outputs AIS-compatible message types at a user-specified interval.
Services
Mooring Installation
We have extensive experience in installing a variety of buoy mooring types to depths of up to 5000 meters under highly challenging environmental conditions. Our design experts utilize sophisticated numerical models and dynamic simulation software to create highly reliable moorings, taking into account a wide range of factors including depth, vessel traffic, seabed conditions, and desired lifespan.
System Commissioning & Deployment
We can provide assembly and configuration of systems upon arrival at their destinations, working with local teams to ensure that everything is fully functional and meets the operational requirements. Once this commissioning has been completed, we can then undertake deployment or installation.
Our field technicians deploy buoys and install land stations in many different environments around the world, and we can advise on logistics requirements such as vessels, cranes, forklifts, and work sites.
Repair & Calibration
Our expert field repair team can undertake diagnostics and repair operations at board-level in the field and component-level in the lab. We can coordinate the logistics required to service or repair systems, and can also provide annual service contracts to minimize downtime due to wear and tear.
We also offer a calibration service run from our facilities in Sidney, B.C. Canada, which are certified by the National Research Council of Canada to provide wave instrument calibration for government programs.
Remote Technical Support
We can provide technical support for clients via phone, email and remote system access. Where telemetry permits, we can diagnose, troubleshoot, and change configurations from our corporate office, and may also be able to access systems via other methods such as TCP connection to a customer DMS installation.
