NORBIT Subsea has introduced the WINGHEAD X, the latest addition to its family of multibeam echo sounders, delivering ultra-high resolution bathymetry and backscatter data.
Building upon the established WINGHEAD sonar platform, the WINGHEAD X is a unified and adaptable system. It is designed to offer ultra-high resolution and consolidate all features of the previous WINGHEAD series.
The system is built on NORBIT’s modular platform, which is intended to provide operational flexibility. This design allows users to configure the sonar to suit specific survey applications and hydrographic requirements.
Users can select between Long Range or Standard configurations, and choose Integrated GNSS/INS or Non-Integrated options. Additionally, software features such as yaw stabilisation, pitch stabilisation, and dual swath can be unlocked at any time. This adaptability aims to ensure the system can be optimised for various bathymetric survey needs.
