NORBIT Subsea, a developer of wideband multibeam sonar solutions for marine and subsea applications, has delivered its multibeam sonar to the Exail DriX USV platform for ORLEN Petrobaltic S.A., part of ORLEN S.A.
The NORBIT multibeam sonar system is engineered using advanced analog and digital signal processing technologies, ensuring high sensitivity and accuracy. This system is optimized for demanding offshore environments, delivering high-quality data and long-range performance.
The company’s multibeam sonar portfolio includes the NORBIT WINGHEAD®, an ultra-high-resolution sonar system designed for bathymetry and subsea imaging, and the NORBIT WBMS X, a highly adaptable sonar system tailored for high-resolution bathymetric mapping.
This successful sonar delivery was made possible through NORBIT’s strong collaboration with its Polish partner Thesta, who managed the sale and integration with Exail.
This collaboration underscores NORBIT’s commitment to advancing autonomous hydrographic operations and enhancing offshore mapping and exploration capabilities.
