WINGHEAD X Midwater is an ultra-high-resolution curved-array broadband multibeam echo sounder engineered for shallow and medium water-depth surveying. Its cylindrical array architecture supports high-detail 3D bathymetric acquisition in demanding marine conditions, while motion stabilization helps maintain survey performance from moving platforms. A compact footprint, low power requirements, and straightforward integration make the system suitable for surface vessels spanning mid-sized USVs through large survey ships, as well as permanent hull-mounted installations.
Built as a configurable platform, WINGHEAD X Midwater can be tailored around individual survey and vessel requirements. Operators can select from available GNSS/INS solutions together with compatible software functions and hardware options, allowing system configuration to reflect operational needs and budget constraints. This modular architecture also provides a defined route for future upgrades without requiring operators to replace the complete system as requirements evolve.
