Impact Subsea has released seaView version 3.2, bringing expanded hardware compatibility, streamlined telemetry tools, and upgraded sensor monitoring to its unified subsea software platform.
The updated software incorporates direct support for the Unity Topside Control System and the seaMux subsea multiplexer. To improve operational workflow, the release features a redesigned communications interface that streamlines views for serial and network ports while simplifying the setup process for serial-over-LAN connections.
A major addition to the suite is a dedicated Communications Monitor feature. Operating as a terminal application, it allows operators to inspect and monitor incoming and outgoing data across any port. This capability provides a fast method to verify all telemetry when outputting data to third-party survey systems via serial or ethernet connections.
Operational monitoring features have also been expanded within the platform’s Altimeter and Depth sensor applications. The software now includes visual and audio alarms that trigger when pre-set altitude or depth parameters are exceeded, offering immediate alerts to remotely operated vehicle operators managing low-altitude conditions or maximum depth limits. Additionally, the ISS360 sonar application now supports ultra-close work, allowing imaging down to 10 cm from the sonar unit.
For external system integration, seaView 3.2 introduces new output strings for ISP360 Profilers, enabling direct connections to third-party survey software including EIVA Naviscan and Visualsoft VisualData Logger.
The 64-bit release is compatible with computers running Windows 10 or 11. The software operates with any Impact Subsea sensor using firmware version 3.0.0 or above, while hardware running older 1.x.x or 2.x.x firmware requires a firmware update to version 3.x.x or a previous software build to function.
