seaMux from Impact Subsea is a compact high-performance subsea multiplexer designed to connect and manage multiple underwater sensors in demanding marine environments. Housed in titanium and rated for operations to depths of 6,000 meters, seaMux provides a flexible communications interface for Impact Subsea sensors as well as compatible third-party serial and Ethernet-based devices.
Featuring four configurable communication ports supporting Ethernet, RS232, and RS485 interfaces, seaMux enables integration of a wide range of subsea equipment, including imaging and profiling sonars, altimeters, depth sensors, and AHRS sensors. Multiple seaMux units can be daisy-chained to increase available ports, while RS485 multi-drop capability allows several sensors to be connected through a single port. Data is transferred to the surface via Ethernet or VDSL communications, with integration options supported through the Unity Topside Control System or a software development kit for third-party interface development.
