ProteusCore™ is Tocaro Blue’s proprietary radar processing software that uses machine learning to automatically tune radar settings, filter noise, and classify objects from standard marine radar data. It significantly reduces the need for manual adjustments by dynamically optimizing radar gain and range based on environmental conditions.
Trained on over 2 million frames of proprietary radar data collected since 2019, ProteusCore can distinguish between vessels, buoys, land, wakes, and other radar-visible objects—providing context-rich, actionable information for both manned and autonomous navigation. The software delivers developer-ready outputs that integrate with multifunction displays (MFDs), autopilots, and vessel control systems via API or C++ libraries.
