ApolloCore is a machine learning intelligence platform for marine electro-optical and infrared pan/tilt/zoom camera systems, designed to improve situational awareness for commercial and recreational vessels. The solution adds real-time object detection, classification, and tracking functions to compatible marine PTZ cameras, enabling safer navigation and enhanced monitoring in congested waterways, during docking operations, and in reduced-visibility conditions. ApolloCore supports next-generation user interfaces and autonomous vessel functions through APIs that enable collision warning development, automated maneuvering logic, and integrated situational displays.
The platform enhances stabilization and control performance beyond standard factory camera capabilities by utilizing vessel IMU data to intelligently steer the EO/IR payload toward areas with the highest target detection probability. Specialized machine learning models for electro-optical and infrared imagery identify 15 navigation-focused object classes while maintaining low processor utilization on GPU-based compute hardware. ApolloCore supports simultaneous tracking and ranging of multiple targets, even when cameras are mounted at relatively low installation heights. The system can operate as a standalone PTZ enhancement platform or integrate with ProteusCore Radar tracking for expanded vessel awareness. It is compatible with widely deployed marine PTZ systems, including the Raymarine FLIR M300 Series, and supports 360-degree surround-view awareness when correctly installed.
