The new special purpose ROV prioritizes diver safety and enhances operational efficiency, making the SRV-8 MDV a crucial addition to any EOD dive team. Pairing revolutionary technology with unmatched ease of use, the SRV-8 MDV represents a significant advancement in mine disposal systems.

Operators use the ROV to attach a charge disruptor to the mine using Viper MDS, then retreat the ROV to a safe distance whilst deploying a spooled shock tube tethered to the charge.

By activating the charge through the shock tube, the operator can effectively neutralize the mine threat, ensuring the safety of both personnel and the ROV.

The SRV-8 MDV has a NATO Stock Number and comes with a state-of-the-art imaging sonar for the detection of the mine threats.
