SubC Imaging has partnered with Sweden-based OEM manufacturer Ocean Robotics International to expand underwater imaging solutions for compact and observation-class remotely operated vehicles.
Through this partnership, Ocean Robotics will integrate SubC Imaging’s cameras, lights, lasers, software, and video recording systems into its vehicle platforms. This technical integration provides operators with expanded options when configuring complete underwater inspection solutions for research, monitoring, and subsea inspection applications.
“Ocean Robotics’ approach to vehicle design aligns well with how we develop our technology,” said Charlene Hounsell, Sales Manager at SubC Imaging. “Both companies focus on giving customers the flexibility to build systems around their operational requirements, and we’re excited to work together to support underwater inspections, operations, and data collection.”
The collaboration combines Ocean Robotics’ expertise in manufacturing modular vehicles with SubC Imaging’s specialized portfolio of underwater imaging technology. Together, the companies aim to support operators seeking integrated solutions across multiple sectors, including offshore industries, marine science, aquaculture, and other underwater fields.
“Image quality plays a critical role in underwater inspections and observations,” said Niklas Wänström, CTO Ocean Robotics International. “By partnering with SubC Imaging, we’re able to offer our customers access to advanced imaging technology that helps them capture clearer, more useful data during their operations.”
As underwater operations continue to evolve, both companies remain focused on providing practical, adaptable technologies that help customers collect better data and complete underwater work more efficiently.
