The DX900+ multilog electromagnetic sensor from Airmar Technology Corporation features Smart™ Sensor technology to enhance speed measurement, eliminating the need for a paddlewheel.
Unlike traditional sensors that require frequent cleaning and only measure speed in one direction, the DX900+ captures dual-axis speed through water while instantly calculating leeway travel. With no moving parts to maintain, it delivers exceptional reliability and accuracy for performance sailors, racers, and long-distance cruisers.
Designed for seamless integration, the DX900+ provides real-time reverse speed and side speed data, offering crucial insights for light wind conditions and precise powerboat maneuvers such as docking. It outputs dual-axis speed, water temperature, and hull attitude, along with heel and trim measurements, ensuring a comprehensive view of vessel performance.
The sensor connects wirelessly to Airmar’s CAST™ app, making speed calibration and configuration simple while storing its settings internally to deliver calibrated data directly to onboard displays.
Built for durability, the DX900+ features high-quality alloy sensing pins that provide stable, corrosion-resistant measurements. The low-profile thru-hull housing includes a water valve and a retractable insert for safe storage. Retrofitting is easy, as the unit fits most existing 51 mm (2”) P617V AIRMAR thru-hull housings. Available in both plastic and stainless steel (SS617V) housing, it provides a seamless upgrade path for enhanced performance.
