AIRMAR Technology Corporation has introduced its Universal Pocket Mount Solutions, designed to help boatbuilders integrate sonar transducers into vessel hulls during construction using a standardized pocket design across different hull sizes.
The solution allows builders to engineer transducer placement into the initial hull design, improving installation consistency and enabling them to optimize sonar performance across their model ranges.
With the introduction of AIRMAR’s new XLM265 and XLM275 1 kW transducers, the standardized pocket supports compatible CHIRP configurations from 1 kW to 3 kW. Using the same installation methodology and standardized pocket components across compatible models is intended to simplify production, personnel training, and inventory management while helping support repeatable, high-quality installations.
Craig Cushman, Director of Marketing at AIRMAR Technology Corporation, commented, “Boatbuilders can design the transducer pocket into the hull from the start, rather than adapting an installation as an afterthought. A common pocket helps builders achieve greater consistency across their lineup, while giving dealers a clear 1 kW to 3 kW path to match sonar options to customers’ needs.”
AIRMAR Universal Pocket Mount transducers are available now through authorized AIRMAR dealers worldwide.
