Oceanbotics supports safety and operational readiness on the water by providing underwater inspection technology used by the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office as part of the department’s Remotely Operated Vehicle Unit (ROV-U).
Underwater inspection technology provided by Oceanbotics is used as part of the unit’s marine operations during incidents involving high vessel traffic, accidents, missing persons, and recovery operations.
According to Jason Gilchrist, Sheriff, Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, the system is used on a recurring basis, between 40 and 50 times per year.
Jason Gilchrist, stated, “It’s effective. It works. It’s affordable for most agencies.
