FUSION is the world’s first underwater vehicle platform to offer ROV, AUV and diver propulsion modes in the same system. Developed with the operator foremost in mind, it utilizes a sophisticated sensor suite to maximize operational abilities, with a simple and intuitive user interface that minimizes the learning curve and cognitive burden.
The multifunction underwater vehicle is powered by high-density Li-ion modules with rapid recharging and extended endurance capabilities. High-efficiency brushless DC thrusters with quick-release outrunner motors provide the utmost in maneuverability and reliability.
FUSION operates from an extremely small expeditionary footprint due to its battery power, allowing it to be rapidly deployed from a range of vessels of opportunity. It is compact and lightweight enough to be transported as excess checked baggage.

FUSION’s unique ability to operate in three different modes makes it an unparalleled force multiplier for a wide range of demanding underwater operations. Switching between modes is easy, and the system can be deployed within minutes right out of the box.
Tethered ROV – provided with a low-drag 500-meter tether as standard, FUSION is also available with 1000- or 2000-meter options. These longer cables are fiber optic and maintain the same small diameter. Both versions are strong enough to engage in recovery of underwater objects and even drowning victims.
Untethered AUV – missions can be preprogrammed via the intuitive user interface, including complex operations that go far beyond simple grid-pattern surveys. A variety of high-resolution data can be captured, including sonar and video.
Diver Controlled Vehicle – with an easily-attached module, FUSION can be converted into a diver controlled vehicle. In this mode the vehicle can assist and tow the diver while enabling the operator to utilize the onboard sensors for navigation, imaging and data collection while using the vehicle’s thrusters for underwater traversal. In the diver controlled configuration the vehicle can also be operated completely subsurface as a fully submersed diver controlled ROV.

HMI Compact – small form factor handheld controller that can be operated while standing or sitting. It features a high-brightness touchscreen, single-axis and 3-axis joysticks, and a ruggedized housing built to withstand punishing marine conditions.
FUSION’s combination of ROV, AUV and diver-controlled modes enables the platform to support defence, maritime security, emergency response and underwater survey operations. Its integrated navigation, sonar and imaging technologies allow operators to inspect, monitor and intervene across complex subsea environments.
FUSION can conduct autonomous and remotely operated surveillance of ports, harbours, subsea infrastructure and strategically important waterways. Its integrated sonar and imaging systems detect underwater activity and inspect potential threats, even in turbid or zero-visibility conditions.
Border and customs agencies can use FUSION for vessel hull inspections, ballast tank surveys, port surveillance and submerged evidence recovery. High-resolution sonar, video and manipulator options help locate contraband and identify potential security threats without unnecessary diver deployment.
FUSION supports Coast Guard operations ranging from port security and vessel inspection to navigation-hazard detection and search and rescue. The platform can also assist with monitoring protected marine areas, investigating illegal dumping and assessing underwater infrastructure and habitats.
Integrated navigation, imaging sonar, side-scan sonar and high-resolution video enable FUSION to locate submerged vessels, aircraft, vehicles, evidence and missing persons. Its rapid deployment and advanced survey capabilities can reduce search times while limiting diver exposure to poor visibility, strong currents and other hazards.
FUSION supports the detection, identification and neutralisation of underwater mines and unexploded ordnance. Integrated sonar enables accurate target location, while compatibility with specialist EOD equipment allows hazards to be investigated and addressed remotely.
The compact, battery-powered platform supports covert underwater reconnaissance, target identification and specialist intervention missions. Advanced navigation and sonar provide operators with detailed situational awareness while reducing the need to deploy personnel into hazardous waters.
