Radar & Sensor Data Acquisition, Tracking & Display Solutions for Maritime & Offshore Applications

Cambridge Pixel is a leading developer of radar, camera and sensor processing solutions, for applications including radar acquisition, tracking, display software, security automation, recording and simulation. Supporting over 80 different makes and models of modern and legacy radar, our products are currently in use in over 50 countries around the world.

Our innovative technologies support commercial and military operations, including offshore asset protection, port security, collision avoidance, border protection, search and rescue, traffic monitoring, USV sensor processing and more.

SPx Server

Radar data extraction & target tracking softwareradar tracking software

SPx Server is a powerful software suite providing radar data extraction and distribution as well as target tracking capabilities. Designed to be interfaced directly with onboard hardware or to process data sent over a network, it identifies potential targets from polar format primary or IFF radar video.

The system correlates from scan to scan to provide positional and motion updates, and maintains a continually-updated active track database. Radar video and track reports can be distributed over a network to remote clients in SPx, ASTERIX or NMEA-0183 formats.

SPx Fusion Server

Combine observations from primary & secondary sources into a single correlated data stream

SPx Fusion ServerSPx Fusion Server combines observations from both primary and secondary sensors and data sources, including radar, AIS, IFF, and ADS-B, into a single stream of correlated reports. Outputs can be easily broadcast as UDP messages over a network with no further development required.

The software can be configured to assign a priority and a score to each sensor, giving more weight to sensors that are known to be more accurate. It also supports multiple co-located sensors, generating a single set of output reports without duplicates, and provides handover support for sensors in different geographic locations with overlapping coverage.

SPx Fusion can also be provided as a software library that allows developers to quickly and easily add fusion capability to custom C2 applications.

HPx-346

Compact radar data conversion and distribution hardware

HPx-346 Analogue Radar to Network ConverterThe HPx-346 is a compact unit that digitizes analog data from radars and converts it to UDP packets for distribution over Ethernet. Based on a low-power ARM/FPGA-based System on Chip (SoC) that consumes less than 5W, it accepts radar video, trigger and azimuth (ACP/ARP) signals and can be interfaced to over 80 models of currently-available and legacy radars.

The HPx-346 is available in boxed and rackmount form factors, as well as an OEM card for developers and for system integrators. It can be configured, controlled and monitored via a convenient and intuitive web browser interface, with no additional programming required.

HPx-450

Interface card for up to two analog or digital radars

HPx-450 XMC Radar Input CardThe HPx-450 is a single- or dual-stream interface card that can be connected to a wide variety of analog and digital radars for high-resolution data capture. Designed with an XMC Switched Mezzanine format, it can be combined with VME, VPX and Compact PCI processor cards to create rugged embedded systems, and features a four-lane PCI Express interface with data transfers of over 500 MB/sec.

The card supports a wide range of different radar signal types, including single-ended, differential, open-collector, and opto-isolated, and analog signals are sampled at up to 125 MHz with a 12-bit A-to-D. Radar video, trigger and azimuth signals are accepted in the form of ACP/ARP or parallel data, and software alarms can be set for loss of triggers or azimuth data.

Maritime Display Framework

Develop custom displays for radar, sensor and transponder information

Maritime Radar Display SoftwareOur C# .NET-based Maritime Display Framework software development package allows users to create custom Windows GUIs for the display of primary maritime radar data, secondary transponder information, electronic charts and camera video. Developers can use the software’s default configuration, or extend and enhance the framework for custom configurations.

The software provides a range of information processing tools commonly required for maritime displays, such as generation of predictive vectors, calculation of a tracked object’s closest point of approach (CPA), and time to CPA (TCPA), providing warning of collision with other vessels. A comprehensive range of alarms can be built into displays, including target track alarm type and target dependence (such as hazardous cargo status provided in AIS).
