VSD from Cambridge Pixel is a versatile operator display software package developed for integrated control of sensors, cameras, and effectors used in maritime security, coastal protection, and monitoring applications. Designed for use on standard Windows workstations, laptops, and servers, it supports deployment within hierarchical command centers or at the edge. The system simplifies operational management for surveillance and counter-UAS missions, combining radar feeds, live camera video, and mapping tools into a single, customizable interface.
VSD provides complete flexibility in how information is displayed, with 2D and 3D visualization of sensors, fused radar imagery, live video windows, and panoramic views. Operators can tailor layouts to suit specific tasks and control multiple displays simultaneously. The platform’s network architecture enables both local and remote operation of sensors and effectors, automatic station discovery, and tiered regional or central command configurations.
VSD-Camera Standard provides multi-camera control, tiled video windows, and a 2D map display with slew-to-cue capability. It includes camera tour support, a setup wizard, and custom video presets.
VSD-Camera Advanced extends capability by adding support for third-party video tracking systems, AI-based classifier modules, AIS and ADS-B data streams, and navigation sources for automatic camera orientation. It includes a line-of-sight coverage tool to assist with sensor placement and coverage optimization.
VSD-C2 Standard builds upon the camera functionality by supporting one command-and-control sensor or effector type, such as radar or jammers. It provides alarm processing across defined regions, radar video and track display, and MIL-STD-2525D overlay symbology. Licenses for SPx Fusion Server and SPx Track Manager can be added where required.
VSD-C2 Advanced supports up to four types of sensors or effectors and adds 3D visualization and panoramic display windows for enhanced situational awareness. The panoramic mode generates a 360-degree static image by automatically capturing and stitching camera video, allowing operators to cue sensors and effectors directly from the reference view.
Cambridge Pixel also offers customization and rapid prototyping services to integrate new capabilities, interface options, or branding requirements, ensuring that VSD can be tailored to fit unique operational or organizational needs.
