voxeljet enabled MAN B&W Diesel AG to produce a multi-tonne diesel cylinder head in under two weeks using two 3D-printed sand mold halves that replaced a complex 19-core mold. Each half was printed in about 28 hours using 190 µm sand at a 0.4 mm layer height, allowing EN-GJS 400-15 iron casting at 1360 °C after four days from data transfer.
