Impact Subsea has been awarded the King’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade, recognizing the company’s contribution to the UK’s international trade performance.
The King’s Awards for Enterprise are issued annually by His Majesty The King and acknowledge UK businesses demonstrating excellence in Innovation, International Trade, Sustainable Development, or Promoting Opportunity through social mobility. In 2025, 197 organisations received the award, with 116 of those recognized in the International Trade category.

This is the second such recognition for Impact Subsea, following the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation received in 2021.
Impact Subsea designs and manufactures subsea sensor systems used for underwater navigation, positioning, and structural integrity monitoring. The product range includes sonar systems, altimeters, depth and temperature sensors, attitude and heading reference systems (AHRS), and Flooded Member Detection Systems. These systems are designed for integration with remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs), and fixed installations.
The company’s export activities span multiple industries, including offshore energy, marine science, defense, and environmental monitoring. Its systems are deployed in a range of underwater environments requiring compact form factor, high reliability, and precision measurement capabilities.
Ben Grant, Managing Director of Impact Subsea, commented, “Receiving the King’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade is an incredible honour and a testament to the hard work, dedication and innovation of the entire Impact Subsea team. It’s a proud moment for us, recognising our commitment to excellence and our success in expanding our reach in the global, subsea technology sector. This award inspires us to continue pushing the boundaries of what’s possible on the world stage.”
The award reflects Impact Subsea’s growth in overseas markets in addition to the company’s contribution to local UK industry. It also highlights its continued focus on developing and delivering technically advanced sensing solutions to support subsea operations worldwide.
