The system’s sensors connect directly to AGISTAR’s control software via Bluetooth, providing users with immediate access to live environmental data. When wireless connectivity is unavailable, the sensors can be linked through a cable to a portable terminal controller, maintaining uninterrupted monitoring capability in the field. This dual-mode connectivity ensures that data collection continues reliably under all operational conditions.
Engineered for extended deployment, AGISTAR’s sensors can operate continuously for several months without maintenance. Remote power functionality allows the system to remain active during long-term observation missions, making it suitable for autonomous operations in lakes, reservoirs, rivers, and coastal waters. The durable construction and low power consumption of the sensors support stable performance even in variable environmental conditions.
Data management is handled through intuitive PC-based software that enables users to visualize, analyze, and export collected measurements. Each dataset can be linked to the USV’s position, providing precise readings for every surveyed location. Information can be exported in Excel-compatible formats, facilitating integration into broader environmental databases and analytical workflows.
The sensors can be configured to measure parameters such as temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, and conductivity. When deployed aboard AGISTAR’s USVSTAR A100, an autonomous catamaran-style platform, they form a complete solution for real-time water quality mapping. The USVSTAR A100 supports autonomous navigation, mission planning, and obstacle avoidance, allowing researchers to conduct repeatable, high-resolution surveys with minimal human oversight.
