The USVSTAR CLEANER from AGISTAR utilizes advanced autonomous navigation and a modular structural design to optimize floating debris recovery across various marine and freshwater environments, including rivers, lakes, canals, harbors, reservoirs, and coastal waters.
Operating via an integrated autopilot system, the vehicle executes missions along predefined routes to ensure consistent waste collection with minimal operator intervention. The platform’s compact design and shallow draft allow it to navigate confined areas and shallow waters that remain inaccessible to conventional cleanup vessels. It achieves a maximum speed of 2 m/s, balancing broad operational coverage with maneuverability under changing water conditions.
For debris recovery, the vehicle employs an easily cleaned collection net available in various sizes and mesh configurations to target specific waste profiles and environmental conditions. This large-capacity collection system reduces overall operational time by maximizing the volume of material recovered in a single deployment. Furthermore, the lightweight construction enables rapid assembly and launch within approximately three minutes, simplifying transit, handling, and storage while keeping maintenance straightforward to reduce operational downtime.
Beyond its primary waste collection function, the vehicle features a modular architecture that supports rapid reconfiguration for secondary applications. These include scientific surveys, environmental monitoring, bathymetric mapping, infrastructure inspections, and research missions. An optional oil recovery system can also be integrated to expand its capabilities to the collection of hydrocarbons and surface oil pollution.
