Voyis has launched new service programs, Voyis Academy and Voyis Protect, to enhance the performance, reliability, and value of its Discovery Stereo Vision System.
Voyis Academy is a structured remote and onsite training program, developed to support users in fully leveraging the Discovery Stereo Vision System’s capabilities for underwater optical excellence.
Participants, such as new operators and experienced survey professionals, are taken through critical topics. This includes system integration, VSLAM-enabled data acquisition, and the generation of 3D models using photogrammetry software.
There is theoretical instruction, live demonstrations and hands-on learning, and each session encourages teams to improve data quality, reduce operational risk, and streamline underwater survey workflows, causing faster deployment times and more reliable results.
Tim Scott, Technical Support Manager, stated, “Training is not just a one-time activity—it’s a long-term investment in your team’s confidence, capability, and performance. Voyis Academy was created to ensure that every user can extract the maximum value from their optical systems.”
Voyis Protect is a structured maintenance and calibration service, intended to sustain the Discovery Stereo Vision System’s long-term accuracy, reliability and performance.
This service includes visual and functional testing. Optical, mechanical, and electronic components are thoroughly inspected in every service cycle, as well as recalibrated using controlled reference targets, to sustain precise 3D modeling and image clarity.
Voyis Protect also includes firmware updates and optional hardware upgrades, keeping the system current with technological advancements. A new Certificate of Calibration is provided with each service, preserving confidence in data integrity for critical underwater inspections.
These services’ mirror Voyis’ commitment to advanced subsea imaging technology, supporting customers throughout their system’s lifecycle with training and maintenance solutions.
