
The Techno Ninjas Senior LEGO Robotics team, a community group of students who meet weekly at the Pro-Oceanus facility, design, build, and program autonomous robots to compete in the main game challenge at the Acadia University Robofest Competition.
The team is coached by Travis Thompson, an Instrumentation Engineering Technician at Pro-Oceanus.
This year, the Techno Ninjas Senior Team placed first at the Acadia Robofest, earning an invitation to participate in the Robofest World Championship Robotics Competition, held at Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, Michigan. Pro-Oceanus supported the team throughout their journey.
Competing at the world championship for the third consecutive year, the team entered three events. They received a Special Achievement trophy for placing second in the first round of the main game event. Overall, they finished 8th in the Senior Division main game, 8th in the Sumobot competition, and 5th in the Unknown Mission Challenge.
