The T3U is a high-performance rotary servo actuator designed for dynamic and highly demanding applications in harsh subsea and marine environments.
Featuring integrated brushless DC control electronics and contactless absolute position feedback, the compact actuator delivers high torque and has been constructed with best-in-class materials and components. Instead of compound spur gear trains, the advanced design utilizes a unique gearing setup that allows it to handle high transient loads without structural failure.
The rugged pressure compensated oil-filled unit can be equipped to withstand depths of 6000 meters, and is ideal for a range of applications including rudder and moving surface control as well as subsea valve actuation. It provides a number of versatile interface options including CAN 2.0B, RS-485 serial, or optically-isolated RC PWM, and feeds back a variety of vital information such as absolute position, motor phase current, temperature, bus voltage, and actuator health.
