Spanish marine technology specialist OMIL Offshore has established an exclusive Iberian channel partnership with UK company HydroSurv to market, supply, and support its Rapid Environmental Assessment Vessel uncrewed surface platforms across Spain and Portugal.

Under the terms of the agreement, OMIL Offshore will oversee regional marketing, demonstrations, equipment supply, and first-line support for HydroSurv’s entire REAV portfolio. The collaboration provides regional operators with direct access to commercially proven uncrewed surface vessel (USV) technology backed by local technical support and expertise.

The partnership bridges complementary surface and subsea technologies to create unified operational solutions. OMIL Offshore specializes in the supply and integration of remotely operated vehicle (ROV) systems, including Deep Trekker ROV units, alongside specialized inspection tools for offshore energy, aquaculture, subsea cables, and marine infrastructure. Integrating these subsea systems with HydroSurv’s surface vessels enables the delivery of combined USV and ROV solutions tailored to project-specific demands.

David Hull, Founder and CEO of HydroSurv, said, “We’re delighted to be partnering with OMIL Offshore to bring integrated USV and payload solutions to the Spanish and Portuguese markets. Although the partnership is still in its early stages, we’ve already made an excellent start, working together to develop solutions that combine HydroSurv’s USV platforms with OMIL’s complementary survey technologies. Working with Soraya and Gonzalo has been a real pleasure, and we’re excited about the opportunities ahead as we build the partnership together.”

To support customer demonstrations across the Iberian region, OMIL Offshore is preparing to take delivery of a dedicated REAV-25 platform. The compact, battery-electric vessel provides an in-country demonstration capability, allowing prospective clients to evaluate platform performance under actual operating conditions and determine suitability for hydrographic surveying, infrastructure inspection, environmental monitoring, and nearshore work prior to capital investment.

Ahead of the platform handover, Gonzalo Gonzalez, COO & Founder of OMIL Offshore, and Alejandro Cortegoso, Technical Support Manager, are visiting HydroSurv’s facilities in Exeter for operator training and acceptance testing of the REAV-25 to ensure in-country technical readiness.

Soraya Fernández, Founder and CEO of OMIL Offshore, commented, “We are very pleased to be starting this new partnership with HydroSurv. From our very first conversations, we felt there was a great connection between our teams, with a shared approach to business, technology and customer relationships. For OMIL Offshore, working with HydroSurv is an exciting opportunity to expand our capabilities and bring new solutions to our customers in Spain and Portugal. We have already started working together on some interesting projects, and the experience so far has been extremely positive. We would also like to thank David and the entire HydroSurv team for their trust, enthusiasm and warm welcome. We are really looking forward to building a strong, long-lasting partnership and achieving great things together.”

By linking OMIL Offshore’s regional presence and integration experience with HydroSurv’s uncrewed platforms, the agreement expands the technical options available to local operators and supports the wider adoption of uncrewed systems across marine survey, inspection, and monitoring operations.
