Kystdesign has secured a new contract with a significant player in the global offshore industry, DOF, who has placed an order for two complete Constructor Compact ROV systems.

The Constructor Compact is a newly developed compact version of Kystdesign’s robust and powerful Constructor ROV, and it already seems to have proven its success, with four systems sold to date.

The top-side control system for Kystdesign ROVs focuses on providing an intuitive, ergonomic, and efficient working environment, in which single or dual operation stations can easily be configured to individual needs.

Operator task priorities can be switched and shared between stations during operation. The CONSTRUCTOR can accommodate up to 25 additional hydraulic tooling functions, up to 21 additional survey sensors and 8 camera connectors.

All hydraulic functions are proportionally controlled, and all electrical power supplies are ground fault monitored. The ROV control system offers a variety of auto-functions like AutoPOS and AutoTRACK capabilities.

The company views the contract with DOF as an important milestone for Kystdesign, having first delivered an ROV to them in 2010. With this contract, the its cooperation with DOF is consolidated and also confirms its clear strategy of further growth and increased market shares.

DOF delivers integrated subsea services, whenever and wherever they are needed. Their expert team’s global experience in offshore operations deliver reduced project risk, increased efficiency and improved safety performance.

Ingve Osberg, SVP Remote Operation, said; “We are pleased with securing the contract for delivery of these ROV systems from Kystdesign. DOF has an outstanding track record with Supporter 12, demonstrating about 14 years of successful operation. We look forward to continuing this strong performance with the new Constructor C WROVs in the years to come.”
