EOD and Mine Countermeasures
Discover cutting-edge solutions from leading global suppliersA strategic defense partnership between Klein Marine Systems, Spry Technocon Pvt. Ltd., Teledyne Marine, and VideoRay has been established to develop an integrated Unmanned Mine Countermeasure (MCM) solution tailored to the Indian Navy’s evolving mine warfare requirements.
The proposed modular solution brings together complementary capabilities across high-resolution side-scan sonar, underwater sensing, autonomous underwater vehicles, remotely operated vehicles, systems integration, and lifecycle support. Designed to support mine detection, classification, identification, and other critical MCM operations, the scalable framework seeks to strengthen overall operational readiness.
Within the collaboration, Klein Marine Systems will contribute its U.S.-manufactured, high-resolution side-scan sonar systems and technical integration expertise. This technology will work alongside Teledyne Marine’s underwater sensing and autonomous systems capabilities and VideoRay’s deployable remotely operated vehicle systems.
Spry Technocon will lead in-country engineering, system integration, suite-level manufacturing, and lifecycle support in India. This indigenous engineering and integration effort helps align the collaborative alliance with the country’s Aatmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India initiatives.
Ted Curley, Executive Vice President and General Manager of Klein Marine Systems, commented, “Klein Marine Systems has a long heritage in high-resolution sonar technologies and underwater imaging. We look forward to combining our expertise with our partners to deliver advanced unmanned mine countermeasure capabilities for India.”
Together, the four companies will pursue a comprehensive MCM capability intended to support the future of unmanned mine warfare in India.
