Greensea IQ has achieved a $9 Million firm-fixed-price task order from the United States Marine Corps for the acquisition of Bayonet 250 systems, Greensea’s Amphibious Unmanned Ground Vehicles (AUGVs).
The order is part of a larger Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract, and will supply vehicles to support the Littoral Explosive Ordnance Neutralization (LEON) Family of Systems, a capability for mine countermeasures and subsea threat mitigation in the littoral battlespace.
Greensea’s AUGVs, supplied under this contract, provide advanced mobility and autonomy for mine detection, obstacle reconnaissance, and explosive ordnance disposal. The open-architecture autonomy platform also enhances operator safety through remote and over-the-horizon control.
The AUGVs, which are part of Greensea IQ’s Bayonet product family, are developed for operations in challenging surf zones, shallow water, and beach environments.
Deliveries of Greensea’s systems will begin in September 2025 and include nine robots, the refurbishment of six robots acquired earlier in 2025, and spares to support the USMC’s growing program.
Ben Kinnaman, CEO and Founder of Greensea IQ, “Strategically, we are positioning Greensea to be the world leader in autonomous solutions for maritime Mine Countermeasure operations, Explosive Ordnance Disposal, and Unexploded Ordnance mitigation in the maritime environment.
“This contract is significant for us. The US Marine Corps is adopting Bayonet to provide safety and scale in critical operations within the ocean and littoral environments. We are proud to support them and excited to be expanding our business.”
The exclusive award highlights Greensea’s position as a trusted provider of autonomous subsea technologies to the U.S. Department of Defense. It was made under the authority of 10 U.S. Code 4021, with the Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, Virginia, serving as the contracting activity.
