The HydroBoat 1200MB USV by SatLab is a lightweight, uncrewed surface vessel engineered for hydrographic surveying in inland and nearshore environments. It integrates the HydroBeam M2 multibeam echo sounder with a compact vessel platform, supporting rapid deployment and single-operator workflows. Designed to minimize logistical demands, the system enables accurate bathymetric data collection in constrained or shallow waters, such as rivers, ridges, and coastal zones with complex features.
The vessel’s onboard systems support end-to-end survey operations, from data acquisition to real-time deliverables. Live XYZ point cloud and side scan imaging are accessible on multiple terminals during missions. Sound velocity correction is handled without separate SVP instrumentation, using SatLab’s SPIN (Sound Speed Profile Inversion) method. This approach reduces hardware dependencies while maintaining data integrity. The system is configured for stable performance in environments with variable bottom profiles, including terraced fields and vertical underwater structures.
