Iridium Edge Solar
The Iridium Edge Solar is a Short Burst Data (SBD) device that utilizes the Iridium satellite network for low-latency connectivity and is ideal for tracking and monitoring of vessels and marine assets operating in remote areas. It also features local wireless sensor and communication capabilities via Bluetooth.
The device self-charges via photovoltaic solar cells and features a smart power management system with rechargeable and primary batteries. The backup battery capacity allows reporting twice a day for up to 5 years even with no solar availability.
