The SeaSight hardware and software suite is designed to provide advanced situational awareness and collision avoidance capabilities for USVs. Utilizing multiple low-light HD cameras, thermal imagers, a 360-degree LiDAR scanner and other sources of information such as AIS and radar, it provides accurate hazard detection and obstacle navigation even under poor visibility conditions.
The system reliably detects almost any potential hazards and obstacles that could potentially interfere with the safe operation of the USV, including other vessels, buoys, the shoreline, animals, and sea plants. If a safe route to the requested location cannot be plotted, the system automatically enters Station Mode and awaits operator instructions.
SeaSight features:
- Double 180-degree panoramic coverage for complete visibility of the vessel’s surroundings
- Sony STARVIS illuminated pixel technology for superior visibility under low light conditions
- Optimized real-time streaming of H.265 encoded SRT (Secure Reliable Transport) video
- Real-time collision avoidance for the Maritime Robotics Otter USV
- Visualization of real-time LiDAR data via the vessel’s control station
