The MRU-B1.1 is a basic motion reference unit that combines three-axis solid state accelerometers, gyroscopes and barometric sensors and delivers pitch and roll outputs for marine and maritime applications. With low noise and high accuracy, the sensor provides reliable real-time measurement under challenging surface or subsea conditions, and is ideal for a variety of use cases including bathymetric and hydrographic survey, platform stabilization, and unmanned underwater vehicles.
The unit incorporates a range of algorithms for specific platforms including surface vessels, ROVs and AUVs, buoys, cranes, helidecks and more. Data can be output in standard industry formats including Kongsberg/Seatex, Teledyne and SMC. The MRU-B1 is available in an IP67-rated housing or a special rugged subsea enclosure rated to depths of 1000 metres.
