The ISM3D is an advanced high-accuracy AHRS for underwater vehicles and platforms, combining MEMS-based accelerometers, gyroscopes and magnetometers with a powerful sensor fusion processing system. The unit delivers robust heading data with accuracy to ±1° of local magnetic north, and pitch and roll data to ±0.07° accuracy.
In environments with large amounts of ferrous metals or other magnetic disturbances, the magnetometers can be deactivated, and heading accuracy can be boosted thanks to a built-in soft and hard iron calibration feature. With advanced low-drift MEMS gyroscopes, the system can provide high-accuracy navigation that previously could only be achieved by fiber optic or ring laser diode based sensors.
The underwater AHRS can be provided in an acetal housing depth-rated to 1000 meters, a rugged 6000 meter-rated titanium housing, or as an OEM system.
