Low-frequency flexural disk transducers for data transmission & active sonar

GeoSpectrum’s M21 benders, also known as flexural disk transducers, are versatile low-frequency acoustic sources that produce moderate power over broadband and high power near resonance. Multiple units can be combined to form flexible multi-bender sources, and can be used in a Modular Project System (MPS) to produce greater power and bandwidth at even lower frequencies, or in conventional arrays to produce a directive high-power source.

M21 benders are ideal for subsea communication, long range data transmission, and active sonar. In addition to the off-the-shelf options, they can be customized to suit particular requirements for resonance frequency, bandwidth, or depth.
