TrawlVue Monitoring System
eSonar’s full suite of marine-grade trawl management solutions is ideal for a range of commercial fishing and scientific research applications. All sensors feature rechargeable Li-Ion batteries and advanced power management that enables long operating lives of up to 400 hours between charges.
Products in the range include:
- Digital receiver – installed on the bridge or in the engine room, this receiver takes in data from the hydrophone and relays it to one or more displays via Ethernet
- Hull-mounted hydrophone – receives acoustic signals from the eSonar sensors, available in single or double configurations
- Towed hydrophone – deployed and towed from the side of the vessel
- Linear catch sensor – provides real-time information on trawl catch-rate, allowing you to haul the net at the optimal time
- Door spread sensor – monitors trawl door geometry, and provides real-time feedback on trawl performance and data on net configuration
- Wing spread sensor – monitors trawl wing geometry and provides real-time feedback to the vessel display on trawl performance
- Headline height sensor – measures the distance from the headline to the footrope and from the headline to the bottom, as well as depth, pitch, roll and temperature
- Grid sensor – monitors the trawl grid angle in real time, ensuring that the optimum fishing position can be maintained
- Bottom contact sensor – monitors trawl contact with the bottom to help adjust the trawl depth in real time
