The GEOSTIX-U9 Versatile Wireless Mono Beam is a single-beam echo sounding system designed for operation from a USV or other vessel. It supports real-time depth acquisition and bathymetric data generation, and can also operate alongside a multibeam echosounder. The system combines a GEOSTIX U9 GNSS unit, compact carbon pole, sonar mounting hardware, Geostix Bathy Adapter, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi connectivity. Sonar choices include the ISA500, PA500, SS 510, or another compatible unit on request.
Communication can be configured with long-range LoRa, LTE/4G for cloud connectivity and correction reception, or UHF. Further configuration choices include a dual-frequency echosounder in place of the single-frequency unit, single- or dual-antenna arrangements, external power output for missions exceeding 20 hours, and multiple pole lengths. A mobile-base operating option is also available, allowing the GEOSTIX-U9 to be adapted to different hydrographic workflows, vessel layouts, and survey requirements.
