The EV7K5BDC is a 7.5 kW bidirectional converter for marine platforms that combines a 600 VDC propulsion, battery or distribution bus with 28 VDC mission and auxiliary electronics. Power can move in either direction, enabling high-to-low-voltage conversion as well as charging or regenerative energy transfer.
The 600 VDC interface is rated at 13 A, and the 28 VDC interface is rated at 280 A. Conversion efficiency reaches 96 percent. Liquid cooling manages sustained high-power operation, and an IP67 enclosure with military-grade connectors helps protect the converter in exposed, splash-prone or tightly integrated maritime locations.
CAN 2.0 connectivity allows a vessel power-management controller to command and monitor the unit. The balanced high-voltage input is designed with MIL-PRF-GCS600A-class electrical characteristics in mind, making the converter relevant to uncrewed surface and undersea vehicles, hybrid-electric craft and naval platforms with mixed-voltage loads.
