CWA003

The CWA003 is a slide-in AC-DC chassis designed to power VME and other multi-voltage electronics in naval racks. It accepts single-phase 115 VAC input and provides six regulated outputs at 3.3, 5, 12, -12 and 15 VDC, with up to 2,012 W available in an N+1 redundant arrangement.

The two highest-capacity rails supply 3.3 VDC at 84 A and 5 VDC at 170 A. Additional outputs serve 12 and 15 VDC loads, including a dedicated 12 VDC channel rated at 33.3 A. The chassis reaches 74 percent typical efficiency and a 0.99 power factor, and internal forced-air cooling handles the heat generated by the densely packaged conversion modules.

Built-in current limiting, overvoltage protection and short-circuit protection help isolate downstream faults. The assembly was developed for surface-ship applications and for applicable provisions of MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-810F and MIL-STD-461, providing a rack-level power solution for mission electronics, processors and control equipment.
