Silicon Sensing will present the company’s latest advances in inertial sensing technology at Intergeo 2025, October 7-9, Germany, Booth 12.0/OF121.
Silicon Sensing provides Micro Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) inertial sensors and systems for applications that require precision performance.
Their inertial products are used for motion sensing across land, sea, air, and space, offering performance in critical areas such as bias instability and angle random walk that is comparable to larger, heavier, and costlier Fibre Optic Gyroscope (FOG)-based units. Products range from miniature, low cost, navigation and pointing gyros through to a market-disrupting, tactical grade, 9 degrees of freedom (DOF) Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU).
Recent contracts include supplying the latest CRH03 tactical-grade gyro to Psionic Inc for their SurePath™ navigation system, where it will provide critical heading information and support GNSS denied navigation.
The company’s engineering team has also recently shared advice on the use of MEMS inertial sensors to enhance the stability of tactical All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV). This follows a piece earlier this year exploring the factors in choosing whether to buy or build an IMU.
