Nortek Brazil has partnered with OGEQUIP Produtos e Serviços Marítimos Ltda, appointing the company as an authorized local service provider for its Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers (ADCPs), current meters, and Doppler Velocity Logs (DVLs) in Brazil.

The collaboration focuses on improving operational safety and agility for users in the oceanography and offshore subsea sectors. By integrating OGEQUIP’s specialized infrastructure, Nortek aims to strengthen its local technical capabilities and shorten response times for equipment maintenance and verification.

Based in Macaé, the central operational hub for the Brazilian offshore industry, OGEQUIP maintains a facility dedicated to electronic systems and subsea environments. The site will soon feature a hyperbaric chamber capable of simulating conditions at depths of up to 3,000 meters, allowing for equipment testing and diagnostics under near-real operating pressures.

Local users will have access to authorized services including technical diagnostics, basic operational fault assessments, functional inspections, and support for calibration processes. While OGEQUIP manages the physical technical services, Nortek Brazil will continue to handle commercial discussions, remote support, application specifications, and direct customer relationship management.

The initiative aims to further strengthen the company’s established reputation for responsive service and support, combined with robust and highly reliable sensors. The primary mission is to reduce operational risks, shorten response times and increase user confidence, especially in critical operations where data and sensor reliability are fundamental to decision-making and operational safety.

OGEQUIP has a history of supporting the offshore industry through the maintenance and integration of subsea systems. This partnership aligns with Nortek’s broader strategy to develop local technical ecosystems that support the reliability of sensors used in coastal and deep-water operations. Nortek intends to monitor the partnership closely as it continues to expand its presence within the Brazilian market.
