Sentinel IDS is an advanced intruder detection sonar that provides automatic detection, tracking and classification of a wide range of underwater threats at distances of up to 1500 metres, including divers, swimmer delivery vehicles, and unmanned underwater vehicles.
Utilizing Wavefront’s cutting-edge Simultaneous In-band Active and Passive Sonar (SInAPS) technology, it features advanced algorithms with low false alarm rates, and can track hundreds of targets simultaneously.
The highly scalable system allows up to 10 sonar heads to be networked together and linked to a single tactical display, providing wide-area protection and maintaining a single track for a common operating picture. Sentinel IDS can be provided in a wide range of mobile or fixed form factors, including cable deployments, vessel through-hull and over-the-side deployments, fixed brackets, and seabed frames and stands.
