The MIDAS water level recorder is a high-performance instrument that is designed for offshore environments or regions where traditional shore-based tide gauges cannot be deployed, and is ideal for either long- or short-term deployments. It can be moored in line or to the seabed, and is available as a 500m acetal or 6000m titanium version.
The MIDAS WLR utilizes a state-of-the-art piezoresistive cell with internal temperature compensation for enhanced accuracy and resolution, and can be fitted with a choice of pressure sensor ranges to suit specific depth requirements. Data can be samples at up to 8Hz, and a variety of modes can be configured including continuous data output, triggered sampling, and data bursting.
