Slocum Sentinel Glider

The Slocum Sentinel Glider is an autonomous underwater platform engineered for sustained ocean monitoring missions extending well beyond conventional deployment windows. With expanded internal volume and increased energy storage, it supports prolonged data collection campaigns while carrying multiple instruments simultaneously. The vehicle is designed to operate with enhanced payload flexibility, accommodating up to eight onboard sensors for concurrent environmental measurements across extended ranges.

Built for persistent offshore observation, the system enables multi-month to multi-year mission profiles with reduced recovery cycles and operational overhead. It is suited to demanding marine environments, including regions characterized by strong currents and varying density structures. Integration with Slocum Fleet Mission Control (SFMC) supports coordinated mission execution, while compatibility with the broader Slocum G3 ecosystem allows flexible hardware and software expansion for diverse oceanographic objectives.
